Abstract document

The abstract has to be entered in the online form of the abstract tool with the following structure:

  • Title (max. 300 characters)
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Possibility to include one table, graph or picture
  • Conclusion
  • The same structure will be used for the publication of the abstracts.
    Authors affiliations and abstracts title will not be part of the abstract document (blind review), but have to be indicated in separate fields during the abstract submission (see above).

Number of characters of the abstract:

Max. 300 words

One table or one figure (jpg or png) can be included.
The table has the following restrictions:
Max. number of columns: 10
Max. number of rows: 10

The table / figure will not reduce the number of available characters.

General Instructions

  • Submitters need to declare any conflicts of interest relating to their abstract presentations at CEPAS 2026 during the online submission process.

  • All presenters should be prepared to register and to attend CEPAS 2026.

  • Presenting authors are required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

  • Please be prepared to confirm that this abstract describes original scientific material that has not been previously published or presented at other national or international meetings.

  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance of the abstract to be listed in the official meeting publications.

  • Abstracts may be selected for an oral presentation, a press release and other congress promotional materials.

  • During the abstract submission, you can apply for one the following awards. Please review the eligibility requirements here.
    - EAP Young Investigator Award
    - ESPR Early Career Investigator Award
    - ESPR Bengt Robertson Award for research concerning the neonatal lung

  • Please indicate:
    - If the abstract presenter is an Allied Health Professional:
    Allied Healthcare Professionals include these fields of professions: physiotherapist, occupational therapist, psychologist, nurse and other professions without any medical degree. This category is only applicable for professionals without any medical degree.
    - If the abstract presenter is an Early Career Investigator:
    An Early Career Investigator is defined as someone under 36 years of age at the time of presentation.
    Exceptions for presenters over 36 years of age may be considered on an individual basis. (For example due to maternity leave, serious illness or differences in the timeline of their degree, if the content of the abstract relates to work from a primary postgraduate degree (MD/PhD), completed within 2 years of submission of the abstract).
    - If the abstract presenter is from a low or lower-middle-income country.
  • Submitting Authors can re-edit/modify their abstract before final submission until the submission deadline. After the deadline corrections or changes of the abstract title and the co-authors cannot be made anymore. Only the presenter of the abstract can be replaced, if necessary.
